What if you combine a restaurant walk, a city walk and weekend? The answer is Södermalm's Food Safari 2.0 — a social and flavorful dining experience where you get to discover some of Södermalm's most appreciated restaurants during the same afternoon.
Instead of experiencing the same dining experience at the same restaurant, stroll between four carefully selected restaurants where each stop offers a new taste experience. From Italian classics and Texas BBQ to Mexican street food and Asian flavors, it will be a varied afternoon filled with food delights, new discoveries and pleasant company.

The walk between stops is part of the experience. For approximately 2.5 kilometres, participants will experience the streets, neighbourhoods and atmosphere of Södermalm.

🇮🇹 Casa Piadina — Genuine Italian Flavors
First stop is Casa Piadina, an esteemed Italian restaurant on Södermalm. Here, Italian food tradition takes center stage with a focus on high-quality ingredients and classic flavors. The restaurant is particularly known for its freshly baked piadinas, an Italian flatbread filled with flavorful ingredients. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect start to the food safari.

Originale — Prosciutto di Parma, squacquerone cheese & arugula
Calabria — Strong salami, mozzarella & grilled peppers
Vegetariana — Grilled vegetables, mozzarella & Parmesan

🔥 Brisket & Friends — authentic Texas BBQ
The next stop will take participants to Texas via Södermalm. At Brisket & Friends, the meat is slowly smoked overnight according to classic American BBQ tradition. Here you will find great flavors, well-balanced accessories and a genuine smokehouse feel that has made the restaurant a favorite among BBQ enthusiasts in Stockholm.

Burnt Ends — Smoked high fox in BBQ sauce, served with mac and cheese
Vegan Chili — with mac n cheese

🌮 La Olita — Mexican street food at its best
On Skånegatan awaits La Olita, a restaurant that has become famous for its colorful and flavorful Mexican dishes. Here, participants will experience authentic street food inspired by Mexican food culture, where spices, freshness and traditional recipes create a taste experience beyond the ordinary.
These dishes will be served during the event (you can choose one of the following dishes) :
Birria -- Slow-cooked Swedish beef in three different kinds of chili, served with pico de gallo and habanero-pickled red onion, along with consommé.
Avocado Quesadilla -- Grilled beans, chipotle fried corn, and fresh avocado.
Recommended drink: Margarita
🥟 Zinnia — Asian Flavors and Creative Cocktail Culture
The food safari ends at Zinnia, an intimate restaurant and cocktail bar on Götgatsbacken. Here, Asian influences and modern creativity come together in a menu that includes handmade dumplings, bao and other flavorful favorites. The relaxed environment makes it the perfect end to the afternoon taste journey.
These dishes will be served during the event (you can choose one of the following dishes) :
Chicken dumplings - in spicy Shiu Zhu broth with wakame and green onions.
Vegetable dumplings — in spicy Shiu Zhu broth with wakame and green onions.

What do you get to experience during Södermalm's Food Safari?
Immediately after booking, you will have access to a digital guide that shows you the route between the restaurants and contains all the information needed during the day. After that, a relaxed food walk awaits, where each restaurant serves a selected dish that together forms a complete meal.
In between restaurant visits, participants stroll through some of Södermalm's most vibrant neighborhoods. The pace is up to you, but the organiser recommends staying between 30 and 60 minutes at each restaurant to get the most out of the experience.
The result is a social afternoon where food, city life and new discoveries are the focus.

The price is 499 SEK per person.
Is all food included?
Yes, there is a dish included in all restaurants included in the experience.
Is drink included?
No, drinks are purchased separately at the respective restaurant.
How far do you walk?
The total walking distance is about 2.5 kilometers.
Are there vegetarian or vegan options?
Yep. The restaurants offer vegetarian options and can also adapt to allergies and special diets.
How does it work with food allergies?
All restaurants in the package can cause allergies such as gluten, lactose, nuts, fish & seafood. In the case of combinations of allergies or special diets, it can be more difficult and even if the dishes do not contain certain allergens, there may be gaps.

How long does the experience last?
Time varies depending on how long one chooses to stay at each restaurant, but expect about 3—4 hours for the entire food safari.
